 NAMI Ventura County
The National Alliance on Mental Illness - Ventura County (NAMI-VC) was founded in 1981 by family members, and has operated as a 501(c)(3) organization since August of 1985.
NAMI-VC is a grassroots, self-help, support, education, and advocacy organization dedicated to improving the lives of all those affected by serious mental illness. This includes consumers diagnosed with a mental illness; their family members, relatives and friends; mental health professionals; and all who share NAMI's vision and mission.

NAMI-VC currently offers:
- Family-to-Family Education programs in English - please call NAMI Ventura County at (805) 641-2426 for information to register, and learn times and locations (there is no charge).

- Care and Share support groups are offered twice monthly at various locations

- 7 p.m. on the first and third Monday of the month at 72 Moody Court in Thousand Oaks.
- 5:30 p.m. the second Tuesday of the month at St. Columba's Episcopal Church, 1251 Las Posas Road in Camarillo (General Meeting follows).

- General Meetings at 7 p.m. the second Tuesday of the month at St. Columba's Episcopal Church, 1251 Las Posas Road in Camarillo. Various speakers present information followed by a question and answer format.
NAMI-VC enjoys a strong collaboration with the Ventura County Law Enforcement CIT program. |
